Hello 2013

Can you believe it is 2013??

Here are some updates from Christmas.

My Dad's scarf:

The photo isn't as nice as I would like it.  It is really pretty when you see it live.

Tim's scarf:

Didn't think I would like working with 100% wool.  It actually was nice.  I did not break out in a rash either.

Anne's scarf:

This also is kind of faded looking.  It is very jewel looking live.

I hope to have a picture of my new project tomorrow.

Have a great day.

The finishes keep coming!

Here is the scarf that I made my Mom for Christmas.

You never know what you will find in clearance.  I got this yarn for 2.88 a skein.  Love it.  It is called Berries.

Have a great day!

Rippling right along

Ok, here is the picture of my new start.

This is going to be a baby blanket for someone that my hubby works with.

I also bought the Fishermen's Wool for my sister's boyfriend's scarf.  Love the color.  You can see it here:  http://www.lionbrand.com/yarns/fisher.htm

I got Maple Tweed and the picture doesn't do it justice.  It is a heather chocolate with a oatmeal thru it.  Love the color.  I bought three skeins.  I hope that it is enough.

Still deciding on the pattern.

Have a wonderful day.

Granny squares to use up yarn

I am using up odds and ends making a new granny square blanket.  It will be all Caron Simply Soft.

I got the idea here:  http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/2012/09/granny-patchwork-blanket-.html

I really love Attic 24 blog.  There is also a group on Ravelry.  I am going to be doing a ripple that is posted there too.

If you don't go to Ravelry, you really should.  Great patterns, chat, and groups.  http://www.Ravelry.com

Here is the first block:
